Terms of Service

Welcome to Togetherlee. By using the Togetherlee app ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Togetherlee, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. If you are using the App on behalf of a minor, you accept these Terms on their behalf and are responsible for their use of the App.

2. Description of Service

Togetherlee is a private family communication and organization app that provides shared calendars, messaging, photo/video sharing, location sharing, shopping lists, a family vault, and other family-oriented features. The App is designed for private family use and is not a public social network.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use Togetherlee. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Togetherlee responsibly and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Share content that is obscene, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
• Upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Use the App to distribute spam, malware, or other harmful content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use the App to stalk, harass, or monitor any person without their consent
• Create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes
• Share invite codes publicly or with people outside your intended family groups

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you post to Togetherlee (photos, videos, text, events, etc.). By posting content, you grant Togetherlee a limited license to store, display, and transmit that content to your family members as necessary to operate the App.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. We do not monitor or review user content but reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

6. Family Spaces and Privacy

Togetherlee allows you to create and join family spaces using invite codes. Content shared in a family space is visible to all members of that space. You are responsible for managing who has access to your family spaces. We recommend only sharing invite codes with trusted family members.

7. Location Sharing

The App offers optional location sharing within family spaces. By enabling location sharing, you consent to your location being visible to other members of your family space. You can disable location sharing at any time. Location data is only collected while the App is open and in the foreground.

8. Push Notifications

Togetherlee sends push notifications for messages, calendar events, feed posts, and other family activity. You can manage notification preferences in the App settings or through your device settings.

9. Subscription and Pricing

Togetherlee is currently offered as a free service during the beta period. We may introduce paid subscription plans in the future. If we do, we will provide advance notice and you will not be charged without your explicit consent. Any subscription purchases will be processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the App settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Togetherlee is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for any loss of data or content.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Togetherlee and its founders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Togetherlee and its founders from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another user or third party.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Marion County, Indiana.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting updated Terms in the App or sending a notification. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Children and Parental Controls

Togetherlee is intended for family use, and the following applies to minors:

• Under 13 — parent-managed accounts only. Children under 13 may not create their own account. They may only use Togetherlee through an account created and managed by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for that account and its activity and who accepts these Terms on the child's behalf.
• Under 18 — parental controls. For accounts belonging to users under 18, a parent or guardian can disable location sharing, restrict direct messaging to the family group chat only, and require that the child's feed posts be approved before they appear. These controls are available under More → Parental Controls.
• Content reporting. Any user can report a feed post or message they believe is inappropriate by long-pressing it and choosing "Report Inappropriate Content." Reports are reviewed by our team within 24 hours, and we may remove content or take action on accounts that violate these Terms.
