Togetherlee ("we," "our," or "the App") is a family communication and organization app created by Jason and Megan Skidmore. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
We collect the following types of information when you use Togetherlee:
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. Passwords are managed securely through Firebase Authentication and are never stored in plain text.
Profile Information: You may optionally add a profile photo, which is stored in Firebase Storage.
Family Data: Information you add to your family spaces, including calendar events, feed posts (photos, videos, text), messages, shopping list items, vault memories (recipes, stories, traditions, family tree), and family board notes.
Location Data: If you enable location sharing, we collect your device's location to display on the family map. Location tracking only occurs while the app is open and in the foreground. You can pause or disable location sharing at any time from within the app.
Push Notification Tokens: We collect your device's push notification token to send you notifications about messages, events, and family activity. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.
Photos and Videos: Photos and videos you share in the feed or messaging are uploaded to Firebase Storage and are only accessible to members of your family space.
We use your information solely to provide and improve the Togetherlee app experience:
All data is stored using Google Firebase services (Firestore, Firebase Storage, Firebase Authentication) hosted in the United States. Firebase provides enterprise-grade security including encryption in transit and at rest.
Your family data is isolated by family space. Only members who have joined your family using an invite code can access your family's data.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Your data is only shared with:
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not display ads in the app.
Togetherlee is designed for private family use, and children's safety is a priority. We also maintain a dedicated Child Safety Policy with further detail.
Age requirement. During signup we ask for a date of birth. Users must be 13 or older to create and manage their own account. Children under 13 may only use Togetherlee through an account created and managed by a parent or guardian, and every person signing up must confirm they are 13 or older, or that a parent or guardian is completing the signup on the child's behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information without such consent, please contact us and we will delete it.
Parental controls. For accounts belonging to users under 18, a parent or guardian can, from More → Parental Controls:
Content reporting. Any user can report a feed post or message they believe is inappropriate by long-pressing it and choosing "Report Inappropriate Content." Reports are submitted to our team and reviewed within 24 hours, and we may remove content or take action on accounts that violate our policies.
Parental rights. A parent or guardian who manages a child's account may review, edit, and delete the child's information, adjust the parental controls above, and delete the child's account at any time from within the app. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of a child's personal information, or to revoke consent for further collection, contact us at support@togetherlee.app.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Some data shared in family spaces (such as posts and messages) may remain visible to other family members after your account is deleted.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy in the app or sending a notification. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
