Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 18, 2026
Togetherlee ("the App," "we," "our") is a private family hub app operated by Jason Skidmore ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built Togetherlee for families, and we treat your family's information the way we'd want ours treated: it's yours, it's private, and we don't sell it.
Information We Collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a password (managed securely by Firebase Authentication — we never see or store your password itself). You may also add a profile photo.
Family content. Content you and your family members choose to share within your private family group: photos, videos, messages, calendar events, board notes, lists, reactions, and vault items such as recipes, stories, traditions, and family tree entries.
Location information. If you enable location sharing, the App collects your device's location to share it with your family group. Location sharing is optional and can be turned off at any time in the App's settings or your device settings.
Push notification tokens. If you enable notifications, we store a device token so we can deliver notifications (for example, new messages, event reminders, or reactions to your posts).
Automatically collected information. Basic technical information such as device type and app version, used to operate and improve the App.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide the App's features:
- Creating and maintaining your account and family group
- Displaying shared content to the members of your private family group
- Sending notifications you've enabled
- Showing location to family members when you've turned location sharing on
- Maintaining the security and reliability of the App
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties for advertising. There are no ads in Togetherlee.
Who Can See Your Content
Togetherlee is private by design. Content you share is visible only to members of your family group. There are no public profiles, no public feeds, and no discovery of your content by people outside your family.
Service Providers
Togetherlee is built on Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Functions), which stores and processes data on our behalf. Firebase's handling of data is governed by Google's privacy commitments. Push notifications are delivered through Apple's and Google's notification services. We use these providers only to operate the App.
Children's Privacy
Togetherlee is a family app, and we expect that parents may invite their children to join their family group. Accounts for children under 13 should be created and supervised by a parent or legal guardian. By creating or approving an account for a child, you consent to the collection of that child's information as described in this policy, solely to provide the App's features within your family group. We do not knowingly collect information from children outside of a parent-managed family group. If you believe a child has created an account without parental consent, contact us at the email below and we will delete it.
Data Retention and Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time from the More screen in the App. When you delete your account:
- Your account credentials, profile, personal settings, location data, and notification tokens are permanently deleted.
- You are removed from your family group.
- Content you shared with your family (such as posts, vault items, and messages) remains available to your family group but is anonymized — your name and profile are removed and the content is attributed to "Former member."
If you would like shared content removed entirely rather than anonymized, contact us at the email below and we will work with you to remove it.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and Firebase's security infrastructure with access rules that restrict data to authenticated members of your family group. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take protecting your family's information seriously.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You can exercise most of these directly in the App (editing your profile, deleting your account), or contact us at the email below for anything else.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above and notify you in the App or by email.
